My friend, Caroline, decided to have a bug theme for her son's first birthday party.  I had so much fun making these bug cakes for Will.  I hope he had a wonderful first birthday!

Easter Class Cakes

Here are photos from an Easter Cupcakes Class that I taught today at Kitchen Conservatory.  The class was full of creative cupcake bakers including my mom.  We made Vanilla Cupcakes with a Lemon Curd Filling, Chocolate Easter Candy Cupcakes, Banana Chocolate Cupcakes, and Carrot Cupcakes with Vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting.  We also made bunny, chick, bonnet, and Easter egg toppers to decorate the delicious cupcakes.  I had a blast teaching and I'm proud of the beautiful cupcakes that the participants in the class created!

My parents just drove from New York to St. Louis for a visit and I knew they'd want cupcakes when they arrived.  I had been hoping that the cherry blossoms would be in bloom but since there are still no cherry blossoms in sight, I decided to make my own.  I hope that my parents enjoy their cupcake vacation!
